Silver Creek PAC encourages all parents to play an active role in their child's education. The PAC serves an important function at Silver Creek, much beyond fundraising.
PAC meetings involve:
* Finding ways to support teachers and students * Keeping up to date with changes in the school and the district * Providing parental input * Providing the school with bursaries, field trips, classroom funds, PAC Fun Days, introducing new school activities
Meetings are usually held in the school library on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm. Please consult the school calendar. FREE child minding is provided! We hope to see you there!
PAC News: We are fundraising for great school events and field trips. We are always open to new fundraising ideas. Stayed tuned for more fantastic fundraising events!
One of the best fundraising activities we have for our school is the noon hour duty supervision. We are in need of volunteers to help out with noon-hour supervision. Daily shifts are from 11:50 am - 12:35 pm and you will provide supervision while connecting with the students. The funds we get for these supervision days help to pay for field trips and school events.
- it's less than a 1 hr shift and you pick the days that work best for you (the more volunteers we have the less time we need from each person). Please consider helping out your kids! - you will not be supervising alone - training and mentoring to get you started - have fun getting to know the kids at Silver Creek
You must get a Police Info Check (formerly know as a Criminal Record Check) from the Hope RCMP in order to volunteer. Please contact the office to get a letter that you can give to the RCMP to get the check done for free. You will need to bring two pieces of ID with you to get the check done. Once it is complete, pick up the check from the RCMP and bring it to the school office. Clearance is normally completed within 7 days.
